His Own Experience
Before Donny bought his first liquidation shipment, he sold unused items from around the house to help fund it. Those early listings did two jobs: they built his buying budget and gave him practice selling on Facebook Marketplace. Meanwhile, he studied B-Stock auctions and manifests so he could understand what he was buying before placing a bid.
By January 2026, just a few months after he’d first started reselling, he recorded $6,605 in sales from Costco liquidation out of his garage. Rugs, exercise equipment, furniture, heaters, and fans. Products he could put in front of local buyers who had a use for them.
One example: when a cold snap hit, he had heaters ready to sell. He tested the units, posted a video, and the sales rolled in. It’s a concrete example of the skills behind the number: preparing your inventory, recognizing demand, and getting the right products in front of people.
